As one of the country’s largest and busiest NHS Foundation Trusts, we have a turnover of £560 million, employ 6,000 staff and see over 600,000 patients each year. We opened a brand new hospital in the centre of London in 2005 and will be opening a new wing for maternity services in the autumn. We are continuing to build on our excellent reputation for impressive healthcare delivery. We are also a leading centre for research and development, as well as a world-renowned teaching hospital.
We are looking for a high calibre individual to help us deliver our extremely challenging agenda. As well as monitoring and scrutinising performance, you will be in a position to challenge and contribute to strategy development and will be expected to chair our board investment committee.
To make the most of this opportunity you will have achieved success in a commercial environment, not necessarily in the private sector. You will need to demonstrate considerable experience of handling complex issues and have an exceptional record of achieving real change.
We are seeking to create a diverse board that is more representative of the communities it serves. We would particularly welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates who are from a black and minority ethnic background or who have a disability.
This is a Public appointment NOT employment.
For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Peter Dixon, Chairman on 020 7380 9634.
To apply for the position you must be a member or eligible to become a member of UCLH NHS Foundation Trust. Members must either be a patient or a carer of a patient or be a resident of Camden, Islington, or specific areas of Westminster or the City of London.
